Freedom Of Information Act Letter #6

This time we got a reply from a Capt O M Gibbs, dated 19 June 1996:

This in response to your letter dated, May 9, 1996, requesting information regarding how the vaccine passed into UK hands to be given to UK troops under the Freedom of Information Act Program (FOIA).

The Directorate of Medical Materiel replied that they do not have any records of selling any plague vaccine to any foreign military customers during Operation Desert Storm. If British troops were stationed with US units in the Persian Gulf, they may have recieved the vaccine along with US troops. However, there is no way for us to know if this occured. Also we do not have any records of which lots of vaccines went to which military units. The information requested in your letter may be obtained from the address listed below:

If you consider this response to be adverse, you may file an appeal.
